Dear Lord, You know that I/we have been hit hard by several surprises at once, and I/we can’t handle all the bills in front of me/us.  I feel numb and overwhelmed, discouraged, and full of anxiety.  I don’t know what to do. God of Righteousness, You know that I want to honor You.  I don’t want to jeopardize my character or your reputation for a temporary and dishonest benefit.  You know every detail of my situation at work and how I am being asked to compromise on principles.  I know that it would be easier to give in to what I am being asked to do, but I don’t want to do things just because they are easier.  I want to do what is right.
